Top Innovators Workshop in Luxembourg
The 6th FIT-4-NMP Top Innovators Workshop was held in Luxembourg on 4th of October, 2023. The event was organized by project partner Luxinnovation in collaboration with the Technology Partners.

The objective of the event was to gather national and international stakeholders (including experienced top innovators and newcomer organisations) intending to apply for Horizon Europe funding, promoting targeted discussions and paving the way to concrete collaboration opportunities on specific call topics.
​
70 participants (including speakers and consortium partners) took part in the event, including representatives of 16 newcomer organizations from different European countries (in many cases there were more than 1 representative per newcomer organization), and of 5 Top Innovators.
​
The Workshop included 5 breakout discussion tables dedicated to specific Horizon Europe calls topics under Clusters 4 & 5:

HORIZON-CL5-2024-D2-02-03 - Size & weight reduction of cell and packaging of batteries system, integrating lightweight and functional materials, led by the Top Innovator organization Leibniz-Institut für Verbundwerkstoffe GmbH (IVW)

HORIZON-CL5-2024-D2-01-01 - Advanced sustainable and safe pre-processing technologies for End-of-Life (EoL) battery recycling (Batt4EU Partnership), led by the Top Innovator organization University of Liège.

HORIZON-CL4-2024-TWIN-TRANSITION-01-05 - Technologies/solutions to support circularity for manufacturing (Made in Europe Partnership), led by the Top Innovator organization INESC Microssistemas e Nanotecnologias.

All discussions included brainstorming and teamwork and a minimum three of them are expected to turn into project proposal ideas for further analysis and development.
